Role overview:
As a VMware Architect, you will own and evolve the enterprise virtualization landscape—defining reference architectures, leading lifecycle management, and driving automation with PowerCLI. You’ll optimize performance, security, and DR/BCP readiness across vSphere, NSX-T, and storage platforms, while aligning with DevOps, IAM, and compliance best practices.
Role insights:
Own VMware reference architecture and standards (vSphere/ESXi/vCenter, NSX‑T; optional vSAN).
Produce HLD/LLD, patterns, and reviews; lead upgrades, patching, migrations, and EOL planning.
Automate provisioning/configuration with PowerCLI; align IaC and CI/CD practices with DevOps.
Drive performance, capacity, and rightsizing; optimize DRS/HA, storage, and network throughput.
Implement security hardening, micro‑segmentation, and encryption; align with IAM and backup/DR.
Define and validate DR/BCP (RPO/RTO, runbooks); integrate telemetry and alerts with SupportNexus.
