    Mission of the Role

    Lead complex Systems programs from concept to delivery, ensuring technical excellence, customer satisfaction, and financial success. Act as the key technical consultant across multiple OEM projects, driving cost, quality, and timing targets. Serve as the Product Development Leader for the Systems Swim Lane, including Functional Validation, and be the main customer interface for Systems-related program management.

    Key Objectives of this Role

    • Develop and maintain control over all the Program Management elements of System Swim Lane, e.g.:
      • Timing plan & Strategy to meet the defined Visteon and Customer milestones
      • Product Level Design Ownership (discipline contribution to Product TDR, DFMEA, Test Coverage, etc.)
      • Process Compliance, e.g., Gate Deliverables, PAD, Vistway, ASPICE
      • Risks, Defects, Quality indicators & Escalations
      • Budget and Staff Planning
      • VPDS and Vistway assigned to Product Development System Leader
    • Manage the direct reports from career development supporting prioritization discussions with the Program Leads
    • Manages one or more Systems projects, according to decision matrix based on project complexity matrix.
    • Manages Customer and Visteon Systems milestones and deliverables, coordinating development activities and customer requirements management with Systems Swim Lane Leader.
    • Owns Budget for Systems activities.
    • Forecast Systems activities forecast in eproj after management approval (PIC/Gate) and keep it updated.
    • Plans with Program Lead and other project leaders and aligns milestones to achieve program goals.
    • Supports/aligns other projects activities (issue estimates changes impact, communicate sample delivery requirements, delivers sample test scope).
    • Work with the Swim Lane Leader to ensure Environmental Validation test activities (DV / PV / ENV) and homologation meet project expectations in terms of timing, scope, quality and costs and escalation is done on a timely manner, if needed.
    • Owns DV and PV, Environmental test validation and Homologation/Certification budget. (external/internal resources and expenses).
    • Load described activities forecast in eproj after approval (PIC/Gate) and will keep it updated until execution.
    • Work with the Swim Lane Leader to ensure that the test activities in internal or external labs, including tools / benches, reports availability, preliminary analysis meet project expectations in terms of timing, scope, quality and costs and escalation is done on a timely manner, if needed.

    Qualification, Experience and Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferable in Software or Electrical area;
    • Strong technical knowledge on product development, and professional engineering background in one of the disciplines – SW, HW or ME;
    • Several years of professional experience in program & project management, including at least six years in the automotive industry;
    • Experience in leading bigger development teams located in different countries;
    • Know-how in project management (ideally PRINCE / PMP);
    • Excellent understanding of development and production processes within the automotive industry, with experience in Systems, Software or Electrical design and / or testing;
    • Leadership, entrepreneurial thinking and assertiveness;
    • High level of autonomy and accountability;
    • Strong project management discipline – Planning & Execution, Communication, Strategy;
    • Strong communication skills, high customer orientation and team spirit;
    • Analytical-structured expertise;
    • Knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project + JIRA;
    • Fluent in English.
