The Role
We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team in Sofia. In this role, you’ll be a crucial part of ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our core platform. You will be responsible for building a robust testing framework and working directly with our engineering team to ensure every feature is delivered with the highest quality. Your work will directly impact our mission to help scientists achieve their digital dreams.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute comprehensive manual and automated test plans for our web platform, APIs, and backend services.
Detect, document, and thoroughly track software bugs and defects, collaborating directly with developers to ensure timely resolution.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes and tools, championing a quality-first mindset across the organization.
Perform various types of testing, including regression, functional, and performance testing, to ensure the product’s stability.
Participate actively in Scrum meetings to define clear and testable acceptance criteria early in the development cycle.
Requirements
Experience: 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer with a focus on both manual and automation testing.
Testing Tools: Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright, and API testing tools like Insomnia, SoapUI, or Postman.
Load Testing: Familiarity with tools like JMeter.
Scripting: Working knowledge in JavaScript.
Methodologies: Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and best practices.
Practices: Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
Bug Tracking: Experience with bug-tracking systems like Jira.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in English.
