Join our growing AI Division at the forefront of digital transformation in the telecom industry. We’re evolving from traditional on-premise batch workflows to a modern, scalable cloud-native stack on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery and Vertex AI.

As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers our machine learning capabilities. You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing data models in BigQuery, developing ETL pipelines, and managing a feature store that enables scalable and reliable ML model training and inference.

 What You’ll Do

• Design and implement data structures and tables in BigQuery to support machine learning use cases.
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines using tools like Airflow, Dataflow, and Vertex Pipelines to power ML through VertexAI.
• Develop and manage a feature store to ensure consistent, accessible, and well-structured data for ML models.
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists to understand data needs and ensure timely delivery of high-quality datasets.
• Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Apply software engineering best practices (e.g., OOP, Git, CI/CD) to data engineering tasks.
• Support MLOps initiatives and contribute to the automation of the ML lifecycle.
• Automate data pipelines powering business processes and strategies.
• Work in a collaborative team environment and share knowledge with other data engineers and data scientists.

 To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• Data Engineering & Pipeline Management: Solid understanding of ETL processes, data modeling techniques, and orchestration of data pipelines.
• Programming & Query Languages: Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation, transformation, and automation.
• Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work: Ability to work effectively across teams and contribute to joint technical solutions.
• Version Control & CI/CD Practices: Familiarity with Git workflows, branching strategies, and continuous integration/delivery pipelines.
• Clean Code & Software Principles: Ability to write modular, testable, and well-structured code following object-oriented principles.
• Fluent English Proficiency: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English for effective collaboration.

Nice to Have:

• Cloud Data Tools Expertise: Experience working with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery and Vertex AI Feature Store.
• Workflow Orchestration Tools: Hands-on experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Vertex AI Pipelines, or Dataflow.
• Feature Store Management: Understanding of feature store concepts and best practices in managing features for machine learning workflows.
• ML Workflow Awareness: Familiarity with how data engineering supports machine learning development and model deployment processes.
• Scripting & Distributed Computing (a plus): Experience with Bash scripting and working with distributed data processing using PySpark.
