    About the Company

    Our client is a multidisciplinary digital competency centre with over 20 years of e-commerce experience and more than 250 successful projects delivered worldwide. They specialise in services at the intersection of e-commerce, data, and technology, helping global enterprises achieve long-term growth through digital performance while building strong client relationships and delivering measurable results.

     

    Responsibilities

    – Lead and mentor a team of Java backend developers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices

    – Act as the primary technical contact for the customer and coordinate with stakeholders

    – Ensure high-quality software delivery while balancing new feature development with system stability

    – Contribute to hands-on development, including 3rd level support and on-call duty (one week every 5–6 weeks)

    – Guide the team on infrastructure, DevOps, and issue resolution activities on AWS

    – Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and story estimation

    – Represent the team’s work in sprint reviews and technical workshops

    – Drive improvements in code quality, architecture, and adoption of AI tools for efficiency

     

    Requirements

    – 7+ years of professional Java backend development experience, including at least 2 years in a lead role

    – Strong expertise in Java (17+), Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, REST API design, and SQL

    – Proven experience with microservices architecture and Clean Code principles

    – Hands-on AWS project experience (minimum 1 year) with services such as VPC, ECS, Lambda, Aurora, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS, and API Gateway

    – AWS Developer Associate Certification (or higher)

    – Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

    – Highly motivated, pragmatic, and ownership-driven mindset

    – Fluent English (C1 preferred, B2 minimum)

     

    Preferred skills

    – CI/CD with GitLab, Terraform, Clean Architecture, OpenTelemetry

    – Angular (16+ & Material UI), Reactive programming with Quarkus, or backend test automation (at least one required)

    – Kafka, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus

    – Agile/Scrum leadership experience and familiarity with GitFlow

    – Experience working in DevOps environments (“You build it, you run it”)
