 About the Company

Our client is a multidisciplinary digital competency centre with over 20 years of e-commerce experience and more than 250 successful projects delivered worldwide. They specialise in services at the intersection of e-commerce, data, and technology, helping global enterprises achieve long-term growth through digital performance while building strong client relationships and delivering measurable results.

Responsibilities

– Lead and mentor a team of Java backend developers, fostering knowledge sharing and best practices.

– Serve as the main technical point of contact for customers and coordinate with stakeholders.

– Deliver high-quality software while balancing feature development with system reliability.

– Contribute to hands-on coding, including Level 3 support and occasional on-call duties (one week every 5–6 weeks).

– Guide infrastructure, DevOps, and issue resolution in AWS.

– Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and story estimation.

– Represent the team’s work during sprint reviews and technical workshops.

– Drive improvements in code quality, system architecture, and adoption of AI tools for efficiency.

Requirements

– 7+ years of Java backend development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

– Strong expertise in Java (17+), Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, REST API design, and SQL.

– Solid background in microservices architecture and Clean Code principles.

– Hands-on AWS experience (minimum 1 year) with services like VPC, ECS, Lambda, Aurora, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS, and API Gateway.

– AWS Developer Associate Certification (or higher).

– Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

– Self-motivated, pragmatic, and ownership-driven.

– Fluent English (C1 preferred, minimum B2).

Preferred Skills

– CI/CD with GitLab, Terraform, Clean Architecture, OpenTelemetry.

– Experience with at least one of: Angular (16+ with Material UI), reactive programming with Quarkus, or backend test automation.

– Familiarity with Kafka, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus.

– Agile/Scrum leadership experience and GitFlow proficiency.

– Background in DevOps environments (“You build it, you run it”).
