Big Data & Analytics is the Center of Excellence’s data consulting and data engineering branch. Hundreds of data engineers and architects nowadays build data and analytics end-to-end solutions from strategy through technical design and proof of concepts to full-scale implementation. We serve customers across various industries, including healthcare, finance, manufacturing, retail, and energy. We hold top-level partnership statuses with all the major cloud providers and collaborate with many technology partners like AWS, GCP, Microsoft, Databricks, Snowflake, Confluent, and others.

We are cooperating with a client who is a leading managed WordPress hosting platform, empowering businesses with the performance, security, and reliability they need to grow online. Their platform automates the complexities of WordPress site management, helping teams focus on content and user engagement instead of infrastructure.

IF YOU ARE

• Experienced in Data Engineering with at least 5 years in the field
• Proficient in one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), preferably GCP
• Skilled in Python or Go, another scripting language
• Strong in DBT and SQL to deliver data assets
• Having SQL debugging and query performance optimization skills
• Knowledgeable of data warehouse technologies like BigQuery (preferred), Redshift, or Snowflake
• Familiar with data modeling and normalization with DBT
• Capable of automation through testing & tooling
• Proficient in working with Git
• Effectively working in an Agile team
• Accustomed to collaborating with remote teams across time zones
• Competent in translating business requirements into data models
• Comfortable communicating daily with English-speaking software engineers on the client side
• Familiar with Big Data frameworks such as Spark or Databricks (would be a plus)

AND YOU WANT TO

• Develop and maintain data replication pipelines in a cloud environment using Python, Go, or third-party vendors like Fivetran
• Organize and normalize data through data modeling using DBT
• Develop automated test cases that ensure continued high-quality data is surfaced and protected from changes
• Contribute to CI/CD practice to automate the delivery of high-quality code
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and address alerts from data jobs
• Create and maintain system, data, and architectural documentation related to data assets such as ERDs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to data warehousing and analytics solutions
• Advocate for maintaining high-quality and highly maintainable data assets through best practices and standards
• Submit and review code contributions and drive the adoption of best practices and hygiene that leads to healthy data models
• Identify and develop process improvements that result in an improved Data and Analytics Engineering practice
