    Servers.com, a global hosting provider with data centers across the US, Europe, and Asia, is expanding and seeking skilled technical support specialists to join our dynamic team.

     

    About Us: At Servers.com, we deliver reliable business solutions, including dedicated servers, cloud technologies, load balancers, firewalls, Kubernetes, and monitoring services. Our clients rely on us to power game servers, payment gateways, streaming services, and other high-load applications.

    We are looking for a Senior Technical Support Engineer to join our technical support team in Sofia, Bulgaria.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Training new support engineers in system administration and internal procedures.

    • Assisting team members with complex and non-standard tasks.

    • Keeping the knowledge base and training program up to date.

    • Creating instructions and documentation for colleagues and clients.

    • Collaborating with other teams and handling escalations.

    • Supporting the team lead in various tasks.

    • Administering internal and client servers.

    Requirements:

    • 2+ years of experience in technical support or as a system administrator.

    • Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to teach others.

    • Proficiency in Linux OS: installation, network configuration, package management, disk partitioning, user management.

    • Understanding of the TCP/IP protocol stack and key network services such as DNS, DHCP, FTP, VLAN technology.

    • Skills in diagnosing hardware and network issues.

    • Excellent communication skills.

    • Proficiency in English sufficient for business correspondence.

    It would be great if you also have:

    • Experience creating technical documentation and/or training colleagues in technical skills.

    • Experience with various server and networking equipment.

    • Experience with automation tools (Bash, Python, Ansible, PERL).

    • Experience optimizing servers for high loads.
