Functional Tester

Contract Type: Full-time, remote

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria (Remote within Bulgaria only)

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Functional Tester to join our technical team and help ensure our application meets the highest standards of quality and usability.

Your Role

As a Functional Tester, you will play a critical role in validating the core functionality of our application from the end-user’s perspective. You’ll collaborate closely with the Quality Manager, developers, Product Manager, and CTO, to test new features, identify issues, and verify fixes before release.

Key Responsibilities

Understand product requirements and translate user stories into test cases

Create and execute detailed test scenarios and test cases

Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and acceptance testing

Report, document, and prioritize bugs and usability issues

Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues

Participate in sprint planning and review meetings to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle

Continuously improve testing processes and contribute to documentation

Work under the guidance of the Quality Manager

What We’re Looking For

Open to junior profiles – you may be at the beginning of your career

Comfortable using web applications and navigating modern SaaS platforms

Experience testing web-based applications, ideally in a SaaS environment

Solid understanding of software QA methodologies and functional testing practices

Attention to detail and a user-focused mindset

Strong communication and reporting skills

Familiarity with tools like Jira (or similar)

Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and browser dev tools is a plus

Familiarity with the legal or accounting domain is a strong advantage

Fluency in English and Bulgarian

Nice to Have

Experience with test automation frameworks

Experience testing across multiple browsers and devices

Ability to write or maintain documentation (e.g., user guides, test plans)

French language skills
