What is the role?
As a Mission Operations Engineer you will work closely with EnduroSat’s operations and engineering teams to prepare procedures and prepare automation for LEOPs and routine operations of different new spacecraft. The role focuses on the pre-launch procedures and preparation, including detailed design of the payload preparations, ground segment definition and validation, mission database management and configuration management, ground and spacecraft-run scripts writing, verification and validation. This extends both to individual spacecraft and entire constellation operations design.
Some of your daily tasks will include:
Utilizing Python programming both onboard the spacecraft and on the ground
Leveraging your experience with spacecraft operations and AIT procedures to oversee the final steps of detailed operations definition
Participating in shifts during LEOP and initial commissioning before handing over to the regular Mission Operations Team
Performing initial analysis and validation with Systems ToolKit prior to LEOP
Executing orbit maneuvering, payload operations, and applying AOCS knowledge using Mission Operations software
What do we look for?
Strong proficiency in Python programming
Prior experience with spacecraft operations and familiarity with AIT procedures, and hardware fundamentals
Ability to work on-site in a cleanroom environment to manage final operation definitions.
Experience with mission operation tools and executing necessary procedures to execute orbit maneuvering, payload operations and AOCS knowledge
How to Stand Out:
Familiarity with APIs, Web architecture, CCSDS, and ECSS standards
Knowledge of C, C++ and embedded programming fundamentals
Understanding of Constraint Programming, Scheduling, Automation, and Mission Planning Systems and modeling languages (eg. PINTA, PDDL, etc)
