Middle Back End Developer

Ciklum is looking for a Middle Back End Developer to join our team full-time in Bulgaria.

About the role:

As a Middle Back End Developer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

We’re looking for a Back End-leaning Full Stack Developer who wants to grow quickly and contribute across the stack. You’ll join a small, high-impact R&D team building a modern SaaS platform for continuous cybersecurity risk monitoring from the ground up. Expect mentoring, autonomy, and exposure to product-driven development.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain backend services using TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and more
• Contribute to infrastructure, performance tuning, and system reliability
• Collaborate with frontend and backend developers to deliver end-to-end features
• Participate in code reviews, planning sessions, and architecture discussions

Requirements:

• 2–3 years of backend development experience
• Proficiency with Node.js/TypeScript and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Drizzle)
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (preferably React)
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and basic DevOps practices
• Experience working on cybersecurity, compliance, or risk-related platforms – a Plus
• Exposure to LLM integration, prompt engineering, or event-driven workflows (e.g,. Temporal) – a Plus
• Mindset: Eagerness to learn, ownership, and startup agility. A proactive contributor and strong team player
• Proficient verbal and written English
