Our client, a leader in cybersecurity, offers an email gateway that protects corporate resources by blocking malicious emails, untrusted senders, and phishing attacks.
This product enables secure communication and helps organizations defend against ransomware, advanced malware, spam, and data loss using a multilayered approach. It includes advanced threat protection to detect, block, and remediate threats quickly, prevent data loss, and secure sensitive information in transit with end-to-end encryption.
Our task is to work with both Python 2.6 and Python 3.8.
IF YOU ARE
Having 3+ years of professional web software development experience, preferably in backend development of highly scalable web applications
Experienced in Core Python 2.6 and 3.8
Confident in Bash and PowerShell
Strong in virtualization knowledge (VMs, Docker)
Knowledgeable in networking and security (IPv4/IPv6, SMTP, TLS)
Versed in OOP, design patterns that avoid redundancy and promote efficiency, legibility, testability, and maintainability of code
Capable of communicating in English in a multicultural environment
AND YOU WANT TO
Maintain and improve Python 2.8 code while modernizing services and features using both Python 2.8 and Python 3.8 incrementally
Work on new features, reduce technical risk, fix defects, and improve performance
Collaborate with POs, engineers, and other team members on daily basis
Reduce complexity and improve maintainability of code
Contribute to internal developer experience initiatives, tools, and shared standards
Support and guide other developers
Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint reviews, and team discussions to drive outcomes
Emphasize software craftsmanship and apply it to our development practices through testing, continuous integration, build automation
Bring your problem-solving skills to our already diverse and hardworking group
