The product the team is working on enables users to communicate securely and helps organizations combat ransomware, advanced malware, phishing, spam, and data loss with a multilayered approach. The product includes advanced threat protection capabilities to detect, block, and remediate threats faster, prevent data loss, and secure important information in transit with end-to-end encryption.
Our client, the leader in cyber security, has the product of an email gateway that prevents attacking corporate resources with malicious emails, blocking untrusted senders, restricting phishing attacks, etc. Our task is to work with both Python 2.6 and Python 3.8.
IF YOU ARE
Having 2+ years of professional web software development experience, preferably in backend development of highly scalable web applications
Experienced with core Python, versions 2.6 and 3.8
Confident in Bash and PowerShell
Strong in virtualization knowledge (VMs, Docker)
Knowledgeable in networking and security (IPv4/IPv6, SMTP, TLS)
Versed in OOP, design patterns that avoid redundancy and promote efficiency, legibility, testability, and maintainability of code
Capable of communicating in English freely in a multicultural environment
AND YOU WANT TO
Maintain and improve Python 2.8 code while modernizing services and features using both Python 2.8 and Python 3.8
Work on new features, reduce technical risk, fix defects, and improve performance
Collaborate with POs, engineers, and other team members on daily basis
Reduce complexity and improve maintainability of code
Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint reviews, and team discussions to drive outcomes
Extend your skillset and gain practical experience
Emphasize software craftsmanship and apply it to our development practices through testing, continuous integration, build automation
