Junior Test Automation Engineer

Our client, a leader in cybersecurity, offers an email gateway that protects corporate resources by blocking malicious emails, untrusted senders, and phishing attacks.

This product enables secure communication and helps organizations defend against ransomware, advanced malware, spam, and data loss using a multilayered approach. It includes advanced threat protection to detect, block, and remediate threats quickly, prevent data loss, and secure sensitive information in transit with end-to-end encryption.

Our task is to work with both Python 2.6 and Python 3.8.

IF YOU ARE

• Experienced with 3+ months in software testing and development
• Familiar with quality assurance principles and best practices, including integration, system, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing
• Skilled in object-oriented design and programming using modern languages such as Python
• Knowledgeable in using code versioning tools like Perforce and Git
• Experienced with agile software development tools for test management such as JIRA
• Proficient with testing tools and frameworks like Selenium and pytest
• Aware of designing and developing test strategies and plans, conducting quality reviews, implementing standards, tracking defects, and resolving system or environment issues
• Experienced in utilizing test automation and performance testing with an understanding of when automation fits into a TQM solution
• Effective in using a QA environment to succeed both within and beyond the immediate team
• Great in collaboration with cross-functional or matrixed teams to ensure high-quality delivery
• Clear in written and verbal communication, comfortable conversing with executive management when required

AND YOU WANT TO

• Work on 60/40 automation and manual testing tasks
• Review and refine reference architectures and frameworks for automated testing
• Design, develop, and execute UI automation tests using a framework built in Python
• Update existing UI automation tests
• Create, write, and execute detailed and comprehensive automated test plans and test cases
• Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning sessions, and SCRUMs as necessary
• Identify, record, thoroughly document, and track defects
• Work with the development team to debug software defects
• Comply with project plans, industry standards, and regulatory compliance requirements
