Are you ready to kickstart your career in IT and software development? We’re looking for a motivated Junior Business Application Developer to join our team and help build and support the systems that keep our business running smoothly.

This is a back-office development and operations role in the Business Applications Operations team. You’ll work on maintaining, customizing, and developing business-critical applications and systems. The position offers a great opportunity to combine software development skills with system administration and operations work across both Linux and Windows environments.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the availability and performance of business applications and related systems.
• Perform and coordinate preventive maintenance tasks, including acceptance testing of new software versions and features.
• Execute operational tasks such as system administration, configuration, reporting, and monitoring.
• Develop and customize business applications and reporting tools.
• Customize system interfaces and integrations to meet business requirements.
• Write scripts and develop software solutions using various programming and database languages.
• Participate in planning, programming, and development activities for specific software products or integrations.
• Contribute to projects, including gathering requirements, testing, documentation, and ensuring a smooth service handover to operational teams.
• Collaborate with other teams across the organization on process-oriented, cross-functional tasks.
• Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for management and other departments.
• Report to the Group Manager/Head of Business Applications Planning and Operations on all ongoing tasks, activities, operational issues, and work-related concerns.

Desired Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of PHP, Java, SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL) is considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Interest in business application development, system administration, and software customization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a collaborative team environment.
