Java Software Engineer – Tietoevry Create (m/f/d)

Mentormate, part of Tietoevry Create, is inviting a talented professional to join our growing team as a Java Software Engineer for our respectful client BICS.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support applications in BICS’ shared services domain.
• Lead the transformation of a monolithic system into a modern, modular service architecture (SPA using ReactJS & Java Spring Boot).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and define robust technical designs.
• Estimate, implement, and unit test features according to BICS’ high quality standards.
• Contribute actively to sprint planning and delivery.

Qualifications

• Core Skills & Experience:
  • Proficient in the software development lifecycle and latest Java SDK features.
  • Deep knowledge of Spring frameworks (Core, Web, Data, Batch, Security, Spring Boot).
  • Hands-on experience with JDBC, JPA, RESTful APIs, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with modular service architecture and database-driven applications.
• Working Knowledge Of:
  • Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
  • SPA development using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js.

Will be an advantage experience with

• ReactJS and modern front-end technologies.
• OAuth2 and API security principles.
• Reverse proxy concepts and JMS (Java Messaging Service).
