As part of this strategy, Commerzbank continues the expansion of its Digital Technology Center in Sofia, Bulgaria. We need motivated people who will join us on this journey and we are looking for a Senior Mainframe System Engineer in our New Mainframe team.
In the New Mainframe cluster, we have bundled all the key area “Technology Foundation” competencies that focus on the strategic IT platform of the IBM mainframe. This is the central mainframe for the mass processing of business transactions, such as payments or securities settlement, and the backbone of online banking.
Your tasks:
Taking part in system installation, configuration, maintenance and operation
Designing, planning and development of technical solutions
Performing of analysis and tuning
Problem determining and 3rd level supporting
Applying Software updates via PTFs
Using SMPE for installations
Conducting regular System updates
Monitoring system resources
Controlling operations;
Your profile:
High knowledge in Mainframe Hardware and Storage;
Experience with Mainframe System Maintenance;
Good knowledge in System Automation field;
Familiarity with Mainframe high availability concepts (Parallel Sysplex) will be considered as advantage;
Very good communication and collaboration skills;
Fluency in English – both written and spoken;
University degree in IT or relevant.
