Senior Software Engineer – Python/Django

You would be a person proficient in/with:

• Web development with Python and Django
• API development using Django REST Framework
• PostgreSQL, MySQL and/or other relational databases
• Unit and API testing with pytest and Django test helpers, or alternative unit testing frameworks for Python
• Containerized application deployment
• Git and Git-based workflows
• English language with good written and verbal communication skills

We would consider it a PLUS if you are familiar with:

• JavaScript/TypeScript and related web technologies
• Front-end application development experience with React, Angular or another modern JavaScript framework
• C#/.NET and related Microsoft web development technologies

In this role you will:

• Help design a modular web-based system with multiple independent components integrated at the API and UI level
• Build, test and deploy Python/Django server applications on Kubernetes containers
• Design and develop REST-ful API interfaces for decoupled client-server communication
• Collaborate with UX/UI Designers and other engineers when creating project requirements, designing mock-ups and bringing those to reality
• Write clean, efficient and maintainable code while adhering to team’s coding guidelines and quality standards
• Investigate technical issues, find and fix bugs, improve the performance and responsiveness of the apps you develop
