    Our international IT Hub in Sofia, Bulgaria is growing. You will be able to work with different teams within the PHOENIX Group in Europe, being involved in projects related to SAP, Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, Network, OCC, Business Intelligence, ERP, and CRM Solutions. You will have the chance to participate in the development of projects and products that are diverse, visible, interesting, and for the public welfare and health. You will work in an international environment and culture with a constant exchange of onsite-/offsite knowledge.

    We are looking for a Team Lead and Product Owner Data Platform to join our international team in Sofia.

     

    Your Responsibilities:

    • As Team Lead you manage, mentor, and develop your team of 4 Data Engineers, supported by a Data Architect and a SCRUM Master.

    • As Product Owner, you oversee, run and develop our central data pool AVALON: AVALON collects relevant business data from our international subsidiaries and acts as central platform for multiple internal and external services, like reporting, analytics and AI solutions.

    • AVALONs enterprise tech stack is mainly based in AZURE Cloud (SQL Server, Synapse, Paquet, Lakehouse…) with a PowerBI layer on top (Fabric).

    • You create and implement the product vision and strategy, while managing demand, prioritization, capacity and execution at an operational level together with your team and in close collaboration with our internal business partners.

    • You ensure product performance, operational service and data availability within the agreed scope and act as an escalation point for operational incidents, driving continuous improvement.

    • You ensure compliance (especially GDPR related) with internal and external policies and regulations.

    • Additionally, you will maintain and enhance some minor on-premises solutions and prepare moving them to AZURE Cloud.

     

    Your Profile:

    • University degree, preferably in business informatics, data science or a similar education.

    • Proven experience in leadership and strong in execution – fostering collaboration and teamwork, while coordinating high-impact projects and initiatives.

    • Excellent in stakeholder management and senior management communications.

    • Expertise in (big) data & BI and modern data processing tools, particularly Microsoft AZURE Cloud and others, like Data Bricks, Synapse, Delta Lake, Data Factory and Fabric.

    • Highly customer-oriented mindset, with a deep understanding of business needs and requirements.

    • Professional knowledge in compliance regulations.

    • Language Skills: Proficiency in English, as Bonus fluent German.
