Senior Full Stack ABAP/UI5/BTP Developer

About you:

As part of our multicultural SAP Consulting team, you will advise our clients on the design and implementation of IT systems and processes around the challenging business requirements through the realization of global transformation projects.

You are an experienced professional, who can communicate clearly and concisely. You are able to follow guidelines and established standards. You are someone with strong analytical skills and practical experience in analyzing requirements and maintaining technical documentation. You are a self-learner, who would like to work with UI5 on HANA, following the SAP Fiori principles.

Your responsibilities:

• Perform modeling, design, implementation and testing based on the SAP programming model
• Collaborate with functional teams and product management specialists to Analyze and specify business requirements
• Create and execute test cases, specify and design reviews, hold code analysis
• Development of SAP related applications (on primes and cloud)
• Technical support of ABAP/ABAP-OO applications (based on UI5 for ABAP), including error analysis and troubleshooting
• Development of custom UI5 applications and enhancing standard SAP Fiori applications
• Development of back-end requirements of UI5 applications
• Development of applications, following the principles of Object-oriented programming
• Integration with other SAP products
• Design, implementation and documentation of solutions, according to the ITIL process
• Support for acceptance tests within the scope of quality and test management
• Participation in projects for the further development of the systems

What you bring in:

• University degree in Computer Science/ Business Informatics or a comparable field of study and/or Information Technology training
• Core skills and competences:
• 5+ years of experience in developing for project or support assignments
• Expertise in SAP Programming Models (CAP / RAP) development
• Familiarity with Agile methodology
• Understanding of Web services such as REST and OData V2&V4
• Ability to work with SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry environment or short CF), Node.js (CAP) and SAP Fiori Elements
• Good understanding of and practical experience with ABAP-OO
• Working knowledge of procedural ABAP / UI5
• SAP UI5/Fiori elements Knowledge
• Knowledge of HANA-specific topics (CDS views, code push-down, etc.)
• Strong debugging/problem-solving skills
• Fluent English, both written and spoken
• Ability to travel abroad on business trips

Nice to have:

• Knowledge about the SAP clean core approach and SAP Side-by-Side Extensibility
• Knowledge about SAP work Zone
• Business process knowledge of core SAP modules
• SAP Gateway/Implementation of OData services
• Enhancement and extension of IDOCs
• Experience in Business Workflows, Flexible Workflows, BRF+
• Integration with other SAP products and/or non-SAP products
• Experience with Custom Code Migration (tools, processes, guidelines, etc.)
• Practical experience/knowledge of web technologies (Webdynpro for ABAP, FPM and BSP)
• German would be considered an advantage
