    Tech Stack / Requirements

Join the pioneering Production DASH team at Ocado Technology – where collaboration meets innovation. As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience across the entire software development lifecycle, from writing robust code to deploying real-world solutions.

This role is ideal for anyone at the beginning of their software development career, either graduating with a technical degree or even moving over from a different discipline. The group works on a complex application that ranges from high-level algorithmic considerations down to low-latency communications with hardware systems. This involves interacting with many parts of the Ocado business, including other development teams and potentially extending to warehouse operations and client services.

    What you will do:

As an intern in Production DASH, you will:

    • Learn by doing: You’ll be supported with a tailored learning path aligned to your development goals
    • Contribute to real projects: Work alongside experienced engineers on the same features and codebase as the rest of the team
    • Engage across the full software development lifecycle – from design to analysis of data from a production environment

Skills and experiences we’d like to see:

    • A solid understanding of one object-oriented programming language (Java preferred, but not required)
    • Theoretical background in computer science fundamentals

Bonus points for experience with any of the following:

    • Understanding of OO principles and design patterns
    • Familiarity with Git, build tools, and continuous integration
    • Knowledge of other programming languages and/or paradigms (for example, Python)
    • Any work experience, GitHub, or other projects you want to show us
    • Diploma or Degree in a STEM field, or equivalent experience
    • This is not a set-in-stone requirements list. We recognise the software industry is filled with smart people from many different backgrounds. Even those that are only just starting.

    What we can offer you:

    • 25 days of annual leave
    • 300 BGN monthly allowance
    • Employee Assistance Program
    • Medical Plan including health & dental coverage
    • Life and Disability Insurance

If you’re passionate about software development and want to build your skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment, we’d love to hear from you!
