Middle+ .NET Developer

*This position is fully remote only for employment in Bulgaria. However, people can also work in one of our offices in Sofia or Varna if they prefer to.

Position Overview

Our client is a UK-based company, one of the regional leaders in the industry of online retailers of railroad tickets, and is currently launching its new product, an international platform for ticket sales.

They’re committed to ensuring that their system will be as modern as possible. It is based on a microservice architecture with the use of continuous integration, where a few hundred components operate independently of each other and can be used as they become available. This increases the modularity of the system and optimizes the use of the services. All components run on AWS.

The backend also includes .NET 7/8, and REST API is actively modernized to Cloud Native solutions (RDS like Postgres, DynamoDB) from MSSQL. The client has a policy to work with the latest technology, and they move to newer versions when they are available.

DataArt is currently helping to modernize the IT system. The project is a great place to work and grow for Middle engineers due to great engineering practices (microservices, clean code, massive unit testing, CI, dozens of production deploys weekly, scout rule, code reviews, Agile approach), constant technical refactoring and the senior team willing to learn and share the experience.

Requirements

• From 3 to 5 years of backend development experience
• From 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial software development on the .NET platform
• Understanding of and experience working with C#
• Good understanding of Cloud – AWS practical experience mandatory
• Strong skills in Clean Code and OOP
• Understanding of SOLID principles
• Knowledge of WebAPI
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience with unit testing (like nUnit) and mocking frameworks (preferred Moq)
• Experience with dependency injection (preferred Autofac)
• Knowledge of Entity Framework or NHibernate
• Experience working with any DBMS system
• Understanding of Agile development methodology
• Good spoken English
