Database Developer

Our client is a next-generation tech company focused on online gaming products, with a portfolio that includes Casino Games, Sportsbook, and an all-in-one Gambling Platform. As part of a fast growing enterprise in the gaming industry, our client is expanding their  team and seeking enthusiastic new team members to join them in the dynamic digital world of iGaming.

Responsibilities:

•  Propose, design, and maintain advanced data solutions using PostgreSQL and ClickHouse to support large-scale data analytics.
•  Manage large datasets efficiently through strategies such as data partitioning and sharding.
•  Optimize database performance with techniques like query tuning, indexing, and cache management.
•  Design, implement, and maintain ELT/ETL pipelines for high-speed data ingestion.
•  Support monitoring and alerting metrics to proactively manage database health and performance.
•  Collaborate with data analysts, product owners, database administrators, and application developers to fulfill analytical and reporting needs. – Troubleshoot database-related issues to minimize disruptions in business operations.
•  Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on database structures, processes, and performance metrics.
•  Promote and follow best practices for database design and management.
•  Explore new features and improvements to enhance database performance continuously.
•  Automate routine tasks and enhance operational efficiency through scripting.

Requirements:

•  Proven experience as a Database Developer.
•  Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications.
•  Strong knowledge of relational (ideally PostgreSQL) and analytical (column-based, ideally ClickHouse) databases.
•  Experience handling large datasets and high-volume transactions.
•  Proficiency in SQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.
•  Familiarity with database design, documentation, and data warehousing concepts, including ETL/ELT processes.
•  Familiarity with programming languages.
•  Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•  Ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
•  Bachelor’s degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification.
