GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE JOBFAMILY (NETWORK DESIGN)

Jobs in this functional discipline relate to providing technical expertise in the oversight of the (design of)

the company network such as Internet protocol (IP) networks, wide, local and storage area networks (WANs,

LANs, SANs) and public switched telephone networks. They plan, design, install, monitor, analyze, modify

and support the design of the Od the company ido network to provide maximum performance and availability. They

plan, design, implement and support (the access of) LANs/WANs/SANs in the areas of Internet

connectivity, capacity planning, routing, switching, server load balancing, network security and wireless.

Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance network capabilities. They may

also provide technical expertise in the activation and/or deployment and/or construction and/or

installation of the O the company dido networks. Design deployment processes and are involved in technical matters

related to network connection/provisioning. Coordinate physical excavation for cable-laying operations

that may involve third-party contractors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / RESULT AREA’S

Functional discipline – tester in our team is testing software not equipment

General function description is totally wrong (since it is written for equipment testing)

As a Test automation engineer you are responsible to test all deliveries of your team members from endto-

end. You are responsible to improve and maintain our test procedures and update the test

automation scripts according to the development of the website. You can work independent and in a

team, and have experience transforming technical designs and documentation into functional tests.

Quality management:

• Estimate test efforts, analyze and communicate test results and participate in day to day QA Activities

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases with a strong emphasis on using code to solve

technical challenges and shorten the test cycle through automation

• Test responsive web in different device resolutions

• Add to our company’s performance and scalability testing efforts and improve the test frameworks,

tools and technologies used by the organization to maintain a high quality bar

• Create, execute and troubleshoot automated test scenarios across our systems

• Contribute to robust, scalable, and high quality test automation solutions for functional, regression

and performance testing

• Contribute to the building of a continuous Integration (CI) environment and ongoing process

improvement activities

• Testing against web services, web API’s and databases

• Running regression tests when applicable

• Have a clear overview of the state and health of the product(s)

• Execute and manage test cases and results; report on test and defect metrics

• Maintain a high quality bar in a complex and constantly evolving workspace

Backlog:

• Aligning with Product owner to define and clarify requirements

• Creating stories on the Bugs backlog

• Together with the Product owner plan when bugs from the Bugs backlog should be picked up

Product release:

• Work closely with the rest of Development team in order to solve all relevant sprint defects

• Ensuring the quality of the product release

• Coordinate product releases and communicate during the product release with all stakeholders

• Giving the final “go-no go” sign before the product release

Stakeholder management:

• Align requirements and documentation with stakeholders

• Give demos to the stakeholders before the product release

Strategy:

• Clearly communicating the testing strategy and actively look for new improvements to raise quality

SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES

• You have practical knowledge of web software development tools and development methodologies

• You have hands-on knowledge of Selenium Webdriver, BDD/Cucumber.

• Hands-on knowledge of a development language, preferably JavaScript

• You have experience with Agile and/or Scrum

• You are an analytical thinker and have the ability to find key issues easily

• You have an eye for UX and design

• You are a team player and good in working together

• You can take ownership and initiative

• You can think out of the box

• You have an eye for detail

• You are the conscious of the quality output of the team

• You are not afraid to take risks and to independently make decisions

• You have strong communication skills and (excellent English spoken and written)

• You have a HBO or HBO equivalent degree

• 3+ years’ experience in testing (proven track record in the field of QA)

• You have certificate for ISTQB and/or TMAP
