    Mission of the Role:

    • Experienced technical leader adept at leading strategic program management, who drives complex projects – Configuration Management – throughout the program lifecycle, ensuring successful execution, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction. ​
    • This role works with the larger team to surpass customer expectations in cost, quality, and delivery on projects while meeting financial objectives.
    • Lead specific Configuration Management scope (project) within a larger multidisciplinary program with a Project Management mindset, having the responsibility to deliver and acting as the main Customer interface successfully.

    Key Objectives of this Role:

    • Develop and maintain control over all the Program Management elements of Suppliers and Sample Swim Lane, e.g.:
      • Timing plan & Strategy to meet the defined Visteon and Customer milestones.
      • Cascade Customer requirements for each milestone into the release plan and SSOW.
      • VPDS Process Compliance, e.g., Gate Deliverables, PAD, Vistway, ASPICE.
      • Risks, Defects, Quality indicators, & Escalations.
      • Budget and Staff Planning.
      • VPDS and Vistway assigned to Configuration and Integration Project Leader.
    • Manages and controls Product Configuration:
      • Perform GBC releases in alignment with customer/program milestones.
      • Manages BOM, gathering inputs from other project leaders including specification, drawings, and status of readiness for procurement and release into GBC.
      • Change Notices (CN) and Temporary Changes (TC) releases in GBC.
      • IMDS requests in GBC and follow-up.
    • Manage sample delivery activities and plan and define critical milestones in line with internal/external customer requirements.
      • Customer samples, DV/PV, and homologation samples production.
      • Coordinating with Procurement and MP&L to get the necessary component samples.
      • Manufacturing/assembly of samples and prototypes (production plant and/or ESC) and work with MP&L for the delivery to the required destination (Customer / internal or external lab).
      • Works with Launch Engineers and MP&L to oversee Samples/Prototypes budget execution.
      • Support the Program Leader on change management and other integration and coordination activities.

    Key Performance Indicators:

    Configuration & Integration Program Execution and Monitoring:

    Owns product Configuration, managing diversity strategy within internal databases. Track internal & external milestones to ensure timely delivery, cost optimization, & quality outcomes, including process compliance. Promotes effective decision-making, leading a structured approach to problem solving and triggering preventive actions at the project level.

    Customer Focus:

    Proactively building and maintaining strong relationships with Customers and cross-functional stakeholders as the primary contact for end-to-end program-related activities, using impactful communication across different functions. Be the primary contact for the Customer for configuration-related topics.

    Change Management:

    Executing program changes and scope creep by effectively evaluating and communicating the impacts of changes on timelines, resources, and costs with all cross-functional stakeholders.

    Risk Management:

    Identifying, assessing, and mitigating program risks to minimize their impact on project timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Managing escalations (internal & external)

    Innovation and Technology Adoption:

    Identifying and evaluating emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends to enhance program management effectiveness and efficiency.

    • Drive independence to properly identify issues and risk mitigation.
    • Change Management led with quality and profitability.
    • Clearly understand and drive detailed timing plans by navigating the critical path and downstream activities.

    Qualification, Experience, and Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
    • Several years of professional experience in program & project management, preferably in the automotive industry.
    • Experience in leading bigger development teams located in different countries.
    • Know-how in project management (ideally PRINCE / PMP).
    • Excellent understanding of development and production processes within the automotive industry.
    • Leadership, entrepreneurial thinking, and assertiveness.
    • High level of autonomy and accountability.
    • Strong project management discipline – Planning & Execution, Communication, Strategy.
    • Strong communication skills, high customer orientation, and team spirit.
    • Analytically structured expertise.
    • Knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project + JIRA.
    • Fluent in English.
