This Java Team Lead role is ideal for experienced engineers with strong technical leadership skills and a deep understanding of scalable, real-time systems.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and mentor a team of skilled Java engineers focused on building cutting-edge trading infrastructure;
• Design and deliver low-latency, distributed systems powering global execution and order management;
• Collaborate closely with traders, quants, and researchers to align technical solutions with strategic trading goals;
• Drive engineering best practices including clean code, automated testing, CI/CD, and code reviews;
• Guide architectural decisions for platforms supporting algorithmic execution, post-trade analytics, and monitoring tools;
• Stay ahead of the curve by integrating modern tools and technologies into the trading ecosystem.

What We are Looking for: 

• 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience in complex, performance-critical systems;
• Solid background in distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and relational databases (SQL);
• Experience with Linux, Git, Docker, Jenkins, and other modern development tools;
• Proven leadership in managing teams, mentoring engineers, and owning project delivery;
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge gaps between technical and business stakeholders;
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and software craftsmanship.

What Could be an Advantage: 

• Experience in front-office or execution system development within hedge funds, asset managers, or banks;
• Knowledge of electronic trading workflows, FIX protocol, and integration with brokers or venues;
• Familiarity with Python or TypeScript;
• Academic background in mathematics, statistics, or optimization;
• Experience working directly with traders or quantitative teams in a fast-paced environment.
