About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team for a long-term project in the fintech industry. The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of programming principles, database management, data structures and algorithms. This role requires a comprehensive skill set and the ability to work on complex problems in backend development.

Your responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and feature specifications
• Contribute to architecture discussions, tech specifications and project estimation
• Mentor and manage a team of less experienced software engineers, providing guidance through code reviews and fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement
• Work independently to solve problems of different complexity with a focus on priorities and business value
• Design and implement software solutions across multiple platforms and frameworks, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure applications
• Communicate with the team effectively during the entire development life cycle
• Stay updated on technological advancements and continuously update your skills

Role’s requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java development
• Strong proficiency in the Spring Framework
• Experience with AWS EKS for container orchestration
• Experience with ArgoCD for Kubernetes deployments and GitOps workflows
• Experience with Camunda for workflow automation and business process management
• Practical experience with Terraform Enterprise for infrastructure as code
• Strong expertise in GitLab pipelines for CI/CD and version control
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle)
• Strong analytical mindset and excellent problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Excellent verbal and written English
