BI Developer

We seek a motivated BI Developer to join our growing Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL, Power BI, Report Builder, and SSAS Tabular, assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of data-driven solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders to transform raw data into meaningful insights, supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to support reporting and analytics.
• Design and build interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI, ensuring optimal performance and usability.
• Create paginated reports using Report Builder for operational and financial reporting.
• Work with SSAS Tabular models, including data modeling, measures (DAX), and performance tuning.
• Assist in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with business users to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accurate reporting and analytics.
• Support ongoing BI initiatives, including troubleshooting, optimization, and enhancements.
• Document processes, queries, and report development to maintain transparency and reusability.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of SQL (writing queries, joins, CTEs, stored procedures).
• Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Familiarity with Report Builder for paginated reporting.
• Understanding of SSAS Tabular models and DAX calculations.
• Basic knowledge of data warehousing concepts and relational databases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Experience with ETL tools like SSIS or other data integration tools.
• Knowledge of cloud BI solutions (e.g., Google Big Query, Dataform, Application integration).
• Certifications in Power BI, SQL, or related BI technologies.
