The Job Role
You will own the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating, and the management of releases. Plan, coordinate, and execute changes to the PROD environments in partnership with Development, QA, and DevOps professionals.
Main responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end Delivery Management process
Own and constantly improve Delivery Management procedures, processes, metrics, and standards to ensure optimal efficiency
Develop and maintain documentation related to the process and procedures of build and release processes
Build, execute, control, and manage the Release Calendar
Liaise with all stakeholders (Development, QA, IT Ops, Product, and Project Managers) to manage any issues, requests, and dependencies
Assure all planned releases meet compliance and quality standards including proper documentation
Organize and lead meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks
Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Preferably previous release management experience
Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
Demonstrated effective communication skills
Problem-solving abilities to resolve any cross-functional team issues
Fluent in English
Good understanding of Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration processes
Can-do attitude
