DEPUTY MANAGER IT DEPARTMENT

Role Overview

We are seeking a Deputy IT Manager to drive the development and execution of IT strategies, ensuring the effective management of technology operations across all business locations. This role involves overseeing IT infrastructure, resource planning, system integration, and team leadership while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Operations & Strategic Planning:

• Develop and implement IT strategies that align with business objectives.
• Oversee IT budgeting, cost management, and resource allocation.
• Ensure the availability, security, and efficiency of IT infrastructure and systems.
• Supervise the execution of new IT projects, ensuring timely implementation and adherence to industry standards.
• Adapt IT solutions to meet legal, regulatory, and operational requirements.
• Manage IT activities across central offices and branch locations, ensuring seamless operations.
• Optimize communication networks and control related expenses.

Infrastructure & Technology Management:

• Coordinate the procurement, maintenance, and upgrading of IT hardware, software, and networking resources.
• Monitor IT assets and optimize usage across all locations.
• Implement system upgrades and improvements to enhance efficiency and security.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead and mentor the IT team, ensuring clear role definition and accountability.
• Facilitate professional development and specialized training for IT staff.
• Oversee recruitment and workforce planning to meet organizational needs.
• Foster a collaborative team environment and drive performance optimization.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

• Coordinate IT initiatives with business units to ensure seamless integration with company processes.
• Provide technical consultation and support for cross-functional projects beyond IT.
• Lead international IT projects and ensure their successful execution.

Compliance, Security & Risk Management:

• Maintain compliance with data protection, cybersecurity, and IT governance standards.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to IT infrastructure and business continuity.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and industry regulations.

General Responsibilities:

• Stay up to date with technological advancements and best practices.
• Provide timely reports on IT operations, trends, and challenges to senior leadership.
• Uphold confidentiality, security, and ethical standards in all IT processes.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in IT management.
• Extensive experience in project management and IT infrastructure.
• Proficiency in SQL, Oracle Database, Linux, Windows, and MS Office.
• Category B drivers license.
• Fluency in German and English (additional languages are an advantage).
