Mission of the Role: The Advanced Development Lead’s primary mission is to accelerate our firm’s reputation for technical excellence providing Hardware expertise for the architecture and design of electronic components, equipment, systems, and products by developing global solutions for platforms, hardware prototypes, and providing guidance to cross-functional teams.
The scope of the role: This role will manage technical aspects of advanced projects according to program timing. Designing and developing electronic circuits for the automotive industry, applying knowledge and principles of electronic theory, design, and engineering. May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to formulate and test electronic designs. Interfaces with Systems, Software, Mechanical, and Manufacturing groups to ensure quality design of the final product.
Key Objectives of this Role:
Advanced Development Lead that will Lead and sign off HW Designs
Lead Internal and Customer Technical Design Reviews
Support hardware deliveries to internal and external customers
Provide design support through the production launch of the advanced product
Develop and Mentor Electrical Engineers to develop technical skills
Follow Product Development Process to develop and deliver HW design
Review and analyze customer requirements and component specifications
Development of design concepts with cross functional teams
Lead Technical Design Reviews with internal HW team
Lead Technical Design Reviews with external customers
Implementation of design concepts into detailed schematics and board layout
Build and test hardware demonstrating compliance to customers requirements
Support hardware deliveries to internal and external customers
Develop and Mentor Electrical Engineers to develop technical skills
Review and approve technical advancements of engineers on the technical ladder
Key Performance Indicators:
Support Cost Optimization: Support project cost optimization effectively, monitoring expenditures and ensuring that initiatives are delivered within budgetary constraints.
Technical Innovation: Measure the introduction and successful implementation of technologies or solutions that contribute to the organization’s competitiveness and market leadership.
Quality and Performance Metrics: Track the quality and performance of products or systems, meeting or exceeding established technical and functional specifications.
Customer Satisfaction: Measure customer satisfaction with Digital Cockpit products, services, or projects, reflecting the success of meeting customer needs.

Win target percentage of pursuits
Awarded program hardware delivery / execution (related costs, quality scores)
Percentage of “on-platform” program wins
Qualification, Experience and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering
Master’s degree considered a plus
12+ years related experience
Demonstrated ability to develop design solutions and perform analysis on design concepts to demonstrate feasibility to meet requirements
Experienced in design and analysis of analog and digital circuits
Experienced in performing and reviewing/approving Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA)
Experienced in developing hardware requirements and hardware/software interface documents
Experience with embedded with Complex SOC based designs
