We are looking for a Data Engineer to join one of our client teams. They are leaders in the evolving field of social commerce, is revolutionizing how consumers and brands connect globally. Through an expansive network of online shopping destinations, they provide consumers with the insights needed for confident spending decisions while helping brands reach their ideal audiences.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a skilled and compact team of professionals to design, implement, and maintain innovative data solutions that drive business decisions.

Responsibilities:

Develop performant data models and establish a reliable source of truth in a high-scale environment;
Manage ETL/ELT processes, data flows, and data engineering solutions using AWS services such as S3, EMR, EC2, Glue, Kinesis, Athena, Lambda functions, etc.;
Write scalable, efficient, and well-tested code to ensure the quality, reliability, and accuracy of data products.

Requirements:

At least 3 years of professional experience in a Data Engineer role;
Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks;
Strong expertise in ETL/ELT development, data flows, and processing large-scale data (multiple TB per day);
Hands-on experience with Big Data and Cloud-based solutions (preferably AWS);
Experience with Apache Spark, Flink, MapReduce/Hadoop, or similar technologies;
Solid knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, as well as advanced query writing (SQL and NoSQL);
Familiarity with data visualization best practices using tools such as Apache Superset, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.;
An agile mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for data-driven products;
Fluent verbal and written English communication skills.
